Return Banksy's artwork to the people of Tottenham

Street art belongs to the streets – not to a gallery, let alone an auction house.
The people of Tottenham have appreciated Banksy's "No Ball Games" since 2009, when it was created. With no previous consultations of Tottenham citizens, event company The Sincura Group has taken upon themselves to remove Banksy's artwork from its original wall, at the junction of Tottenham High Road and Philip Lane. Sincura is planning on selling the work at auction, in a similar way to what it did with a previous artwork by the same artist, "Slave Labour", which was also removed from a Tottenham wall in 2012, and which has yet to be put on public display again.
It's time we stop profit-driven private interests to get in the way of communities and their thriving, dynamic culture.
