My petition is to stop all Retailers who sell Fireworks to only be allowed to sell No/Low Noise Fireworks. I have had to sit for 3 days (as probably thousands of other Pet owners) with my dog, trying to keep her calm while she is frightened, panting rapidly, heart racing & terrified about what is happening. Dogs can hear things that humans cannot so how loud are the fireworks to their ears. It's not just about my dog it's about every animal that has to endure this torture. What's it like for the he poor animals that live outside? There are millions of animals terrified because people want to hear ridiculously loud bangs with the display of colour in the sky, they have no where to hide, I wonder how many die through fright.! It is unnecessary and it needs to stop. I've heard today of 2 horses frightened and bolted out of the fields they was in, one hitting a moving car, which caused injuries to both horse & driver and the other running into another car resulting in the horse then falling and sliding into another vehicle and dying. Its cruel what these animals have to endure & noisey fireworks should be banned from sale. Retailers should only be allowed to selll Low/No Noise Fireworks. If every human being was to sit with a petrified animal & watch what thousands of pet owners have to see, I'm sure they would agree with me.
