Tracy Skates is a local group of All Wheels Welcome activities that take place in the Tracy area. We host regular family-friendly gatherings at local parks. We started our group at Schwartz (Bill) Park but quickly had to move to another location since the surface proved to be unsafe for quad and inline skaters. From there we moved to the basketball courts at Veteran's Park in Tracy, but we found it was too difficult to find a safe place due to people wanting to play basketball - also unsafe with basketballs flying all over the place. Finally we moved to Henry Barboza Park which has smooth skate friendly surface but small and we are quickly out growing it. 

We are asking the City of Tracy to resurface/repave Schwarz (Bill) Park's outdoor hockey arena so we can safely skate there. We've been advised that we should start a petition and demonstrate this is important to our community members.
