We are requesting help in restoring our local park, located at 1145 fanny St, Elizabeth, NJ 07201. 

Our park has been vandalized and has not been maintained as it should. As a community, we try to keep it clean and safe for our kids, but the conditions of this part have been deteriorating.  Due to the bad conditions of the park, it’s not safe for our children to play and enjoy the outdoors.

The swings of our park have been broken and worn down, in addition, when it rains, water accumulates under the swings. This covers the playground with mud and it becomes unsafe to use.

There are no bathrooms located in this park, therefore, when children and parents need to use the restroom they will have to go back home. 

There are also not many tables available for families and community workers who give out lunch for kids and families in our community. 

Our community deserves a park where we could feel safe and enjoy time as a family. The safety of our children should always come first, with this being said, we as a community as asking for help in the restoration of our beloved local park. 

Our suggestions are the following:

-        Restoration of the swing

-        Restoration of the floor all around the playground area

-        Additional tables and benches

-        Building a bathroom
