To many, Stratford is the heart of Newham. It is the part of the borough where many residents work, shop and play. Up until recently, residents in the ward I represent - East Ham South - could catch one bus to access such opportunities: The 104.

Since the opening of the Elizabeth Line, however, this bus has been re-routed, leaving local residents having to catch two buses (possibly with a rain-soaked hiatus, of uncertain length, in between).  

Many can't afford a car and if you are elderly or living with a disability, active travel may not be a viable alternative. 

To this end we request that TfL restore the 104's original route with immediate effect while ending the previous practise of pausing en route for a change of driver rather than having changeovers at a terminus.
