Restore David Lloyd Opening Times to pre-Covid Timings

Restore David Lloyd Opening Times to pre-Covid Timings
Why this petition matters
David Lloyd temporarily reduced opening times due to Covid and now states the reduced times are now the new standard times – so the temporary change has now become not temporary after all. It appears disingenuous for David Lloyd’s to make a temporary change then keep it because they thing they can get away with it.
David Lloyd is a service provider and by reducing the opening times in the evening it has reduced their overall proposition and value. This change seems short sighted and fails to meet the key mission of providing excellent health and fitness services to its members, who pay high fees for this service.
It does save David Lloyd some staffing costs, however, staffing is reduced in the evenings as the peak of members after work leave; so the cost saving is small compared to the key benefit and service to members and in comparison to the membership fees. If David Lloyd is trying to stand out as a provider of excellence then this is a retrograde step. It appears to ignore what members want in favour of an opportunity created by covid to reduce costs.
The closing times are now 10pm on Weekdays and 9pm on Weekdays with an extra 15 minute window to shower and leave the building.
The club car park, at my local club, is often near full at 9pm weekdays showing there is strong demand for the service at this time although less busy than at 6, immediately after work.
By pushing back the times it forces all users to compete for the same gym and spa facilities at the same time, making the experience less enjoyable or less useful.
Some members regularly use the club later in the evening and others would do so occasionally if the club was open as it was before. The value is massive to the regular members who deliberately come later when the club is less busy and it is still a significant loss in service/convenience to those who would choose to use the club late from time to time.
The club used to have a bar open to 11 and people leaving at 11:20 and the food service was available until quite late. All of these facilities have ever earlier closing times. So this does ensure when members would stay later for a meal or drink that they are now more likely to leave immediately after their activity. This in itself does not now justify a further reduction in opening times.
Closing times in the evening historically were 11:20 weekdays (after the bar closed); more recently they were reduced to 11pm ( no bar) and then 10:30 with 15 minutes to shower and leave the building; with weekends times also being reduced over time.
The current timings of 10pm and 9pm (with 15 minutes to shower and leave) is unhelpful and especially in the summer when it means the club is closing in daylight hours when a lot of members would rather spend time outside and come later.
Please restore the opening hours in line with what members where told were a temporary reduction of the opening hours.
CEO of DL please restore the opening times to 10:30pm and 10pm (Sat & Sunday) with 15 minutes to shower and leave the building as it was before covid.
