Not having running water in many areas of Puerto Rico today is criminal. Help me by signing this petition and protesting the negligence of the water authority together.

¿Por qué no hay agua corriente en Puerto Rico?

¡Muchos residentes y negocios no tienen agua corriente en Puerto Rico, y muchos por más de cuatro días! La interrupción del agua no es resultado de una tormenta o desastre natural. Corresponde a la Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados de Puerto Rico (PRASA, Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados de Puerto Rico) mantener y brindar un servicio de agua confiable al pueblo de Puerto Rico.

Why is there no running water in Puerto Rico?

Many residents and businesses have no running water in Puerto Rico, and many for more than four days! The interruption of water is not a result of a storm or natural disaster. It is due to the Puerto Rico Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (PRASA, Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados de Puerto Rico) to maintain and deliver reliable water service to the people of Puerto Rico.

¡Todo el mundo merece el derecho a tirar de la cadena del inodoro, lavarse las manos y ducharse! No poder lavar los platos, lavar la ropa y realizar la higiene personal fundamental limita a los residentes a mantener ambientes saludables y prevenir enfermedades a través de la limpieza.

Maintaining personal hygiene with no running water

Everyone deserves the right to flush a toilet, wash their hands and take a shower! Not being able to wash dishes, do laundry, and perform fundamental personal hygiene limits residents in maintaining healthy environments and preventing disease through cleanliness. 

Operar un negocio sin agua corriente

Las empresas no pueden operar durante las temporadas comerciales pico después de haber estado limitadas durante la pandemia. Ahora se ven obligados a comprar agua o limitar sus servicios por falta de agua.

Operating a business with no running water

Businesses cannot operate during peak business seasons after being limited during the pandemic. Now they are forced to purchase water or limit their services because of no water.

Negligencia de la Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados de Puerto Rico para proveer agua corriente

La negligencia de los servicios públicos de agua mal mantenidos y ejecutados es extraña para una población que es ciudadana estadounidense al nacer. El servicio público de agua y cualquier entidad gubernamental de influencia deben rendir cuentas por la falta de capacidad para brindar servicios al público donde no hay otras opciones.

Negligence by Puerto Rico Aqueducts and Sewers Authority to provide running water

The negligence of poorly maintained and executed public water services is bizarre for a population who are US citizens at birth. The public water utility and any governing entity of influence should be held accountable for the lack of ability to provide services to the public where there are no other options.
