Gladys Berejiklian has resigned without warning and the NSW division of the Liberal Party elected the Treasurer Dominic Perrottet as Premier. Just today, he announced that children would return to school a week earlier than Gladys intended. He has also abandoned Kerry Chant, the state's leading medical official and describes the COVID crisis where millions have died around the world as merely an 'economic crisis'. Clearly, he has little regard for public health and therefore, should not be leading this state in such a dire time. Gladys Berejiklian has lead our state reliably through its darkest hour. I propose that school should be kept online until we hit 80% double-dose vaccination for all age groups as children can catch and spread Delta just as easy as anyone. The road map must be reinstated if we are not to leave this pandemic with thousands of cases and deaths. After all Kerry Chant has done for us, she deserves to have her way with leading this state out of lockdown safely.
