I also want to note - if no one has already- that in the time of covid, we’re essential enough to risk the health of ourselves and others by working every single day during the pandemic, but not essential enough to get the vaccine at the same time as other essential workers?
These double standards are crushing and makes it clear the government just sees us as glorified babysitters.

I work within the early years sector and I believe we are discriminated against. All through lockdown our provision has been opened and we have been putting our lives at risk to provide care for little ones. We played an important part for key workers during COVID-19 and we are one of the lowest paid professionals!!!
