As Marisa Vasquez continues her years at DCIS we continue to see indifferences in her approaches to lead our school. Her lack of care for student voice had student leaders insisting for her to take action, as it is one of the core values here at DCIS Baker. Her preferences in students lead to inequitable punishment and discipline time after time. She continues to show her reactive vs proactive responses in her work and they are detrimental to our community and the way it works and how it flourishes. Her presence and time here at DCIS has been overall performative and is leading many student and beloved staff to not want to return next year and many years to come.
