West Bridgford has very few historical buildings or features of interest.

One of the few is the Abbey Road Depot Pumping Station. It is true that it has been unsympathetically 'modernised' over the years but the fundamental building remains unchanged and reminds us of the local history of the area.

The area is being sold for new housing. But this building should either be converted into flats or kept as a community resource, which is urgently needed in the Abbey Road area which has very few facilities..
