Warrenton School Board is looking at making cuts in the Agriculture Program. The Agriculture program is the most frugal and participated program in the school. The FFA itself has held a consistent budget of over $20,000 for the past 4+ years, with membership numbers in the 100's (need I remind you this is a STUDENT RAN organization). Every year our agriculture classes are full, already overwhelming our two AG advisors (by making cuts to the Ag program we are losing a teacher). By making cuts in the Agriculture program we will see huge local economic impact and World Impacts. Agriculture and Construction related jobs rank within the top 5 categories of jobs held in Warren County (dataus.io) In fact, construction is the most specialized job in Warren County. By cutting agriculture programs, we will see a huge change and decrease in the economy of Warren County. As a world, we are also going to be facing possible food shortages in the coming years due to the rapid increase in population. By cutting agriculture programs we are contributing to this shortage. The advocacy for agriculture is vital to Warrenton, Missouri, and the world. Please sign this petition to help save our Agriculture program.
