Paul our postie has lost his round.

After 20 years as the postman of Uplawmoor and the surrounding farms and countryside of Caldwell, Paul Stewart is being moved on because someone else, more senior, wants his job.

No consideration has been given to how well he has done his job – ‘rules is rules’!

Paul is not just ‘Our Postie’.  

Paul is a friend to all and a true member of the community.  

He can be the only person some of our villagers speak to during the day.

He helps the vulnerable and the bereaved.

He knows if something is amiss.

He helps wherever and whenever help is needed.

He is a ‘kent’ face for the lonely.

He has even delivered bread and milk during difficult times.

He is a ‘known adult’ for the children.

He knows the children by name.

He knows the dogs and the dogs know him!

He even delivers the mail!

HE IS IRREPLACEABLE!
