We, the undersigned, boycott the Threebirds Coffee House on the corner of Sitgreaves and Bushkill Streets in Easton, PA at 226 Bushkill Street until it removes its arbitrary mask mandate for patrons. The Threebirds Coffee House is discriminating against customers -- demanding face masks and refusing service to those not wearing one.

As a legally classified "public accommodation," Threebirds violates both the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title II, III, and VII) and the American Disabilities Act. Demanding a face covering of individuals as a condition of service means that Threebirds is not open to serve all (equal access) but only particular customers of choice. Furthermore, a business license to operate a cafe does not include the offer of medical advice by staff nor mask hand-outs.

We are interested in the success of this small, local business and its value to our community, especially after the unfair transfer of wealth to multinational businesses over the past 18 months. We wish to see Threebirds achieve its goals but not at the expense of personal liberty and current laws.

As there is no state mandate to follow Covid-19 restrictions in Pennsylvania, it is reckless and illegal to impose personal and arbitrary mandates upon the public. We will look for the removal of signage from its facade and the halt of practices in the name of safety and kindness that restrict members of the public from purchasing its products. Until that time, the signatories below will be vigilant to abstain from all commerce at this establishment.
