The great teachers of our SOMSD are leaving for higher salaries in our neighboring towns. Minutes away, the school districts of West Orange, Montclair, and Nutley are offering $10k-$15k higher salaries. Our students are paying the price, and this must stop!

Our teachers deserve to be paid competitive wages. They deserve to afford to live in the town in which they work. They deserve to have pride in the district they serve and to receive the respect they so rightfully deserve.

Our students, our children, are standing up and speaking out for the fair pay of their teachers, and it's time we do the same.
