Governor Andrew Cuomo has unilaterally put many local and national movie theaters out of business. In addition, many privately owned village and town theaters are on the edge of bankruptcy and due to national closures more than 80,000 employees are now out of work nationwide.  Regal Cinemas has closed its doors and mentioned New York’s dismissal of their pleas for help as part of their rational.  Restaurants and other indoor venues have safely opened yet theaters remained closed with no relief in sight. There is no rational reason for the Governor to keep theater lights off as 48 other states have safely allowed them to open.  Unfortunately the Governor seems unwilling to even have a timeline to allow theaters to reopen.  Please join us in telling the Governor enough is enough.  Allow all theatres safely open in New York State.
