The speed limit in Hidden Valley (Shaftsbury, Vermont) is currently 35 MPH. This is simply too fast for our neighborhood. Some drivers are not paying attention and speeding too. This is a recipe for very bad things to happen. This Petition will be a "suggestion" to the Select Board to lower the speed limit to 25 MPH.

Our neighborhood is wonderful to live here, to take walks, walk your dogs, and for children to play. Over the years it has become dangerous with people just not paying attention and speeding while driving on our dirt road. Let's work together to lower the speed limit and make people realize that we care about our neighbors and slow down.

If we get enough Hidden Valley Residents to sign this Petition, we can take it to the Select board and ask them to lower the speed limit. Thank you for your time.
