Henrietta Road in Norwood has become a 1.7km high volume feeding road due to the road closures in Orchards, however that has opened up a 700m stretch of road with no calming measures for motorists to drive recklessly.

The traffic on Henrietta Road has become a concern for the following reasons:

- Accessibility, Residents unable to get out of their driveways due to cars speeding.
-excessive speed on the road, cars can reach 100kmph on the stretch.
- Heavy vehicle use on the road including multiple axle vehicles with GVM>16000kg, which is a hazard to road infrastructure.

- A school on Henrietta (Different Strokes Montessori) and numerous pedestrians.

- A danger to pets.
- Numerous environmental health concerns

The current situation is becoming more unsafe and pedestrians and residents are at risk.
The current traffic calming measures are not sufficient and dated (two damaged speed bumps between the corners of Scholtz Rd and Jessie Avenue)

It would be of great assistance to have the following traffic calming measures implemented:

1) Speed bumps

2) speed limit clearly defined and a pedestrian warning.

3) A raised zebra crossing near the school
