Franklin Township Civic League started this petition to Residents of Franklin Township Indianapolis Indiana

RESIDENTS OF FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP (Indianapolis)  – TELL THE CITY COUNTY COUNCIL WE DO NOT WANT APARTMENTS AT ARLINGTON AND COUNTY LINE!!

On May 6, 2020, despite overwhelming and unified opposition from township residents, the Franklin Township Civic League, the Franklin Township Schools, City County Councillor Brian Mowery and State senator Aaron Freeman, the Metropolitan Development Commission for the City of Indianapolis approved an apartment complex at County Line and Arlington.  Councillor Mowery has requested that the full City County Council rehear the case and support the township by opposing the apartments.  The main reason for opposition is that this ground, because of its proximity to the interstate, should be reserved for commercial development that will help our tax base, provide jobs and offer services to the people who live in our community.  We also do not need the substantial density bringing more children into the township schools.

This petition will come before the full City County Council on July 13, 2020 – WE NEED AS MANY SIGNATURES AS POSSIBLE BY JULY 10th

With the onset of COVID restrictions limiting public participation, we need your help more than ever to show the Council we are serious.  HELP US MAKE THE VOICES OF FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP BE HEARD BY OUR CITY.  Sign our petition to SAY NO TO APARTMENTS AT COUNTY LINE AND ARLINGTON (include your address in the comments to verify your interest) and let our City County Council know that YOU CARE ABOUT HOW DEVELOPMENT IS IMPACTING OUR TOWNSHIP.
