Help Move Marine Helicopters Further Offshore Del Mar/Solana Beach Shoreline

The increase in Marine helicopters flying so close to our shoreline is causing extreme levels of noise and vibrations within our coastal cities of Del Mar and Solana Beach.
We hereby petition the City Councils of Del Mar and Solana Beach to Contact and work with the Marine Corps Leadership of the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar to enforce the existing Agreement to fly their helicopters in accordance with the terms of the agreement as follows:
“The Marine Corps will work with North County communities to reduce helicopter flights over residential areas by moving departures from the Del Mar Racetrack and Del Mar Course corridors south to the existing fixed-wing Seawolf corridor. Additionally, studies of two new routes will be studied in cooperation with plaintiffs to analyze the possibility of moving coastal flight paths further offshore and establishing an eastern arrival/departure route that could serve as an alternative to the current Interstate 15 corridor.”
