In Owen Sound, calling a cab company leaves us with a 45 min MINIMUM pick up time, regardless of the time of day. 

Girls feel unsafe to get in a cab that took 45 mins to arrive and no way to track the cab ride home, especially to destinations outside of town. 

Tonight's cab driver picked us up on the side  of the road after we called THREE local cab companies with all 45 minute wait minimums.

We asked our cab driver how he felt about UBER coming to Owen Sound and he said "I would feel a lot safer with my job as I had a knife pulled on me last weekend while driving someone home"

This is NOT OKAY. For the safety of our community and our cab drivers, we NEED UBER to be offered in Owen Sound!!

Why are we left without UBER when individuals have pitched uber to city council!? Is safety not a concern!?
