I was very happy when our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a digital push. It felt very great that now I would be able to make hassle free payment options everywhere in India.
But here comes the dark side, most of the retailers/Shop owners/Hospitals dont have debit/credit card swipe machines. So they don't offer this facility of using card. Moreover our government announced Wallets/UPI/Payments Bank options. But still most of them don't offer this payment options too. Why?
I want government of India to mandate use of such payment options in every retail shop outlet/hospital. There should be a monthly restrictions on cash transaction as most of the cash transactions go unreported to our government and most of this amount is converted to black money through hawala and all.
I urge government of India to make this possible. Yesterday when I came to hospital for my fathers treatment where he needed to be hospitalised I was asked to deposit cash for initial deposit for admission. It was Sunday and I was unable to arrange cash so I was asked to pay extra 2% over the amount which needed to be deposited. Nowadays these retailers / hospitals fix a sign board asking 2% extra on swipe transactions. I request you all to please support my petition make it mandate to use digital payment solutions.
