There are many students who have just enrolled at a US college on May 1 which is the standard deadline. By the time many of us have received our I-20 document, there are hardly any visa dates available before 30th April. Interviewing in September doesn't make any sense for Fall 2022 students. We have worked hard and received admission offers. The dates open randomly for 1/2 slots without prior information and the luckiest ones get the slots. I am strongly against this randomisation process with which the system for visa booking works. There is no consideration of expedition request from students either. There is no proper system which governs the opening and closing of visa appointments. 

As a student, it is a very stressful considering the fact that we may have to lose another year as a gap student. We are restricted from attending our dream colleges and exploring opportunities which otherwise are not accessible to us. It's a request that everyone sign this petition and request the US Embassy in Nepal to open a good number of slots in a systematic manner for Fall 2022 Intake for students. 

Having said all this, students should have the right to have a visa date appointment prior to the start date of the program if he has enrolled into a US college by their deadline.
