On January, 04, 1996, Robert Castro a 16-year-old was killed while riding his bicycle. Daniel Robinson a 20-year-old in the 29th street Crips gang decided to get revenge because someone wrote graffiti writing on a wall directed towards the Crips.  His reason to shoot Castro was because he and his associates felt disrespected. Robinson and other associates in the vehicle drove through West Sacramento searching for a person of interest.  Someone in the vehicle pointed out Castro as person belonging to the Broderick Boys, even though, they had never seen him, didn't know him, and they had no reason to believe he was in a gang. They drove along side him and Robinson fired one shot to the head. As Castro fell to the ground while still on his bicycle they drove away and left him to die in the gutter. The release of this man would be a detriment to our Community and others.  He is not rehabilitated, he has no desire to change, has never shown or expressed remorse.  He only admitted being the one who killed Castro in 2019.
