As a student here at GHS, I care about myself and my friends and others personal space. But recently just now heard about the “Barriers” added to lunch. 

Im humbly asking for a reasonable explanation on why was the barrier added, and why not keep our space like previous years? and I humbly request for the barriers to be taken down for everyones safety.

As I saw during lunch today, huge crowds of people, people pushing each other while we barely had any space to walk from, a lot of people were getting overwhelmed, it didnt look any safe at all to even walk from one side to the other. People trying to get to lunch was almost impossible, it was very crowded, and extremely unsafe.

I believe this violates our student rights that we barely have. As well its breaking COVID protocol guidelines, as well as possible monkeypox protocols that could come in play soon this year, that are still qualifying till this day.

As a student, i believe this action was taken extremely unprofessionally, and makes us feel like school is not a safe place anymore.

I speak for many students as well that our principal is not aware of everyones safety, as well as people who suffer from many disorders like claustrophobia, making this place unsafe and disrespectful, unsanitary, and unnecessary.
