Dear sir,
Request to reconsider the decision to hold the Attorneys-At-Law Examination - October 2021/April 2022 as scheduled.
This petition is in regard to the decision of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education (ICLE) to conduct the aforementioned examination and is a humble appeal to reconsider the same considering the current circumstances of the country.
Prior to the ICLE meeting that was held on 04th of May 2022, we conveyed to all erudite members of the ICLE, including your good-self, a letter containing the findings of a survey that was conducted for the examination applicants of the said examination, of which the findings illustrated that a resounding majority of 79.7% of the students wish for a postponement of the examination.
We reiterate that this request is being made in light of the announced bus strike, planned hartal and heightened fuel shortage, and to allow students adequate time, a two-week time period, to resolve their transportation and accommodation issues and other necessary arrangements. Further, we pray that this request is heard with a lenient ear for if this matter was not reconsidered, students who are truly unable to resolve the aforementioned issues due to forces beyond their control may have to wait another 5-6 months to sit for the Attorneys-At-Law Examination - October 2022.
We humbly request your good-self to reconsider the above decision and to request for an emergency council meeting as well as to make other possible arrangements with regard to this matter.
Please find enclosed a sign sheet and a comment sheet for your reference.
Thank you.
