Since autumn 2020, Gibraltarians have patiently waited for further developments and the start of construction for both Chatham Views and Bob Peliza housing estates. The Government of Gibraltar has yet to demolish the current buildings that still stand on these grounds. Both groups of future homeowners deserve answers and demand action from the government to avoid further delays. Aside from progress, both groups would welcome confirmed dates and concrete timelines for the projects.

These delays come at the cost of holding back families enabling them to plan for the future. The lack of affordable choices in private housing in Gibraltar with its fictitious, overly inflated, and exploitative price tags have created a community of frustrated families and individuals in the midst of a continuing housing crisis.
