Request that Cardinal Pell be allowed to say Mass in his cell

Cardinal George Pell remains a Catholic priest and bishop despite the convictions recorded against him. The ability to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is an essential part of a priest's life. It is the most important thing Pell does each day and has done every day since being ordained in 1967. Pell believes that the Mass expresses his priesthood and his oneness with Christ and his flock. To extend him this privilege would only require him to be granted one unusual right for a prisoner; to keep a modest amount of altar wine in his cell. Daily celebration of Mass in his cell would be a silent and solitary act and would be unnoticed by his fellow prisoners or by correctional services staff. Please consider this simple concession for a man who has lived his life in the service of others and wishes to continue to do so, spiritually.
