A humble request for your attention Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon'ble Minister of Education Shri V Sivankutty, DR.JAYAPRAKASH.R.K, Director, SCERT

As we all know that the New School Curriculum is coming in Kerala schools from next academic year 2023. We humbly believe Sree Narayana Guru Darshanam should be included in the new textbooks to be published in Schools next academic year.

One of the greatest losses to modern Kerala has been the failure to properly study Sree Narayana Guru and apply the teachings of the great saint. The touch of Guru can be seen in all aspects of life. In its practicality, we can make our country a model nation free from caste, creed and ethnicity. We should have mechanisms to implement the vision of the Guru to the school and college levels in a comprehensive, honest and scientific manner.

The history and philosophy of Sree Narayana Guru should also be included in the curriculum at school and college levels. The life of Guru, considered to be the creator of modern Kerala, is the renaissance history of the country and we need to pass it to the next generation.

Guru's Aruvipuram Shiva Pratishtha in 1888 is widely accepted as the beginning of the Kerala Renaissance. It was not just a temple. Gurudeva's social reform for 40 years from 1888 to 1928 to eradicate untouchability, immorality and superstition was a great achievement and building blocks of modern kerala. Guru was like a prophet to remind the world about the values of humanity & brotherhood, similar to teachers like Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammad. We humbly appeal, the Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon'ble Minister of Education Shri V Sivankutty, please take this matter seriously and consider this in the development of the state.
