Request Indian Government, Not to ban usage of Peacock Feather for Jain Religion
This petition made change with 17 supporters!
Since Ancient times, Jain Monks use feathers left by peacock as a instrument to side and save the 'Micro Body Souls' (Sukshma Jeev) to attain the highest degree of ahimsa.
So where Jainism uses the peacock feather to save ‘microbody souls’ then there is no question that it will be done by harming peacock in any sense. Jain monk uses/ collects only those feathers which are leftover by peacock as a natural process.
So as it is clear that Jains do not harm any peacock thus use of peacock feather should not be banned for Jain Religion.
