St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA engaged in a QI project to communicate and update parents through a shift summary note. It was discovered that the notes do not translate to other languages so a number of our patients are not receiving equitable care. This is a violation of diversity, inclusion and equity practices and something needs to change!
