We want Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) to spend a week in the hardest hit areas of P.R.

Rep. Scott Perry is under the mistaken notion that there is no one dying in Puerto Rico due to the current circumstances. If Rep. Perry and other like minded politicians were to spend a week in the hardest hit areas, living where they live, drawing water where they draw water, using the bathroom the way they have to, and drinking only the allotted bottles of water (if available), this can afford him the evidence he needs to either back up or take back these statements. His experience should be closely monitored by camera crews (ideally, impartial non partisan tv crew) along with this writer who will gladly become his guide. He should arrive with only a days provision of water and food for himself, and be able to secure his daily share in the same manner other citizens are doing it.
Rep. Perry would understand the crisis that has arisen after 3 solid weeks with no electric power, no water in any faucet, and no communication grid, while knowing there is no defined timeline for reparations to these critical infrastructure elements. Rep. Scott will then be able to report back to Congress and to American citizens with a more accurate and humanitarian point of view and meditate on what his response would be if it was his state of Pennsylvania living in these conditions for this amount of time. We are confident he will become a lifetime advocate for those who are treated as second class citizens within the great USA.
