David Curtis started this petition to Republican National Committee and

The United States has been at the whim of the large cities for far to long what works in the cities does not work outside the cities. The electoral college shouldn’t stop at just what states go by but what the county goes by. For instance if a state had 30 counties and only 3 of them went for one candidate the people in the other counties would be heard through an electoral college. Cities shouldn’t decide elections the entire country should decide.
The electoral vote can still be accounted for by population for instance the county with the smallest population gets 1 vote and every county the doubles it in population gets 2 votes and triples it gets 3 votes etc. that way every county would have a voice and whoever wins the electoral college in the state would have that as their vote in the national electoral college
