Millions of DACAmented and undocumented youth are at risk if Congress does not pass a Clean DREAM Act 2017. Hundreds of thousands of immigrants and their family members are also threatened by the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS). DREAMers and TPS recipients are our community members and family. Over 42,000 DACAmented youth and over 20,000 TPS recipients live in New York State alone. Urge New York Congressman John Faso to support a Clean Dream Act and legislative solution for TPS by signing this petition!

Dream Act 2017 will provide a pathway to citizenship for an estimated 3.3 million immigrant youth and young adults, with a fast track for current DACA recipients. Those who qualify would have to work, join the military, and either have or be working toward a diploma or degree. A clean Dream Act would ensure that youth are not used as a bargaining chip for funds to build a border wall, increase border security and immigration enforcement, and expand detention centers. With over 200 members of Congress cosponsoring the DREAM Act 2017, it is the most widely supported bill and only bill to garner bipartisan sponsorship and cosponsorship. It is also the only bill currently in both the House and the Senate.

Faso has told us he supports the BRIDGE Act and RAC Act, both of which are exclusive bills with republican only sponsorship. Both exclude TPS recipients and are expected to be tied to increased enforcement and militarization. The BRIDGE Act is temporary, offering no pathway to citizenship. The RAC Act excludes most people with deportation or removal orders. Tell Faso the BRIDGE Act and RAC Act are not enough, we want a clean Dream Act Now!

Approximately 325,000 immigrants from 10 different countries suffering from armed conflicts, natural disasters and exceptional circumstances have TPS: El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Many TPS recipients have lived in the US for decades, own their own business and contribute heavily to our communities and economy. TPS recipients are parents to an estimated 225,000 US born children. Only the Dream Act offers TPS recipients a pathway to citizenship!

In the last 3 months, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has terminated TPS for Sudan, Haiti, and Nicaragua. Over 100,000 are now scheduled to lose their status. In addition, it is estimated that DREAMers will begin to become undocumented at a rate of 1,400 per week starting in March 2018.

Without a solution, millions of our community members will become undocumented. We are calling on Representative Faso to support the clean Dream Act of 2017 and legislative solution for TPS recipients!

Diganle a
Dream Act LIMPIO AHORA.

Aproximadamente 325,000 inmigrantes de 10 diferentes paises que sufren
de Conflictos Armados, desastres naturales, y circunstancias
excepcionales tienen TPS: El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal,
a nuestras comunidades y economia.
