The kernel needs to be kept alive and intact to allow the kernel to remain fully functional with all current features which could be repealed by their devs if any of them decide that they’ve had enough of CoC. Also the internet is built on the back of Linux and meritocracy, not forced diversity.

Repeal The Linux Foundation's Code of Conduct

After Linux Foundation board members passed the new "Code of Conduct" it has sparked outrage and many criticisms among the FOSS community. The Code of Conduct - now referred to as CoC - is full of buzzwords and vague language that can give vocal groups the power to suppress other developers. It drives the development hierarchy away from a meritocracy and inserts politics into development and administrative decisions. The CoC aims to promote unity as its underlying message but will only lead to division.
