Repeal the "Don't Say Gay" Bill

Repeal the "Don't Say Gay" Bill
Why this petition matters
In Florida, lawmakers passed an anti-LGBTQ+ bill that negatively affects the community of gay individuals. This bill states that lessons about sexual orientation will now be banned in learning environments. This bill creates division within education, as it is purposely attempting to stop individuals from finding their sense of identity.
We want to encourage lawmakers to repeal this bill by showing how much people are against it. We want to allow students to have the freedom of forming their own sense of identity and allow teachers to teach this subject in learning environments. This bill is discriminatory and targets the LGBTQ+ community for simply existing.
Children with parents from the LGBTQ+ community will be unable to simply talk about their families and with this, children will be shamed and forced to stay silent. They will be excluded from activities. We believe that all individuals, no matter what age, should have the freedom to express themselves in the ways they desire.
