Brianna Bauer started this petition to Rep John Bucy

Im a first time mother who had a harsh awakening as I brought a beautiful child into this world. Being out and about with a child is difficult. Being out with a child, and not having adequate safety tools present is an even bigger challenge.

I would like to propose that Texas make it REQUIRED for all businesses that allow children inside, have at least one baby changing station. I would also like to propose that it be gender neutral. While it is true that most kiddos go to the bathroom with their mother in the "Ladies Room", there are fathers that take their children to the restroom. There are also single fathers who dont have the option of entering the ladies room. The fact that there are baby stations in only the women's room and not the mens, and even worse, not at all, is inexcusable. I have found baby stations to be around $133 online (Here is an example). That is nothing to a business. If anything, it's an investment on their part.

It isn't safe, sanitary, or remotely okay, that I have had to change my baby's diaper, on the floor of a dirty restaurant, or take him out to my car to change him there. Stand behind the parents and babies of Texas by helping me get this petition out there for Rep John Bucy III to view. New York has even passed a law recently as well (Source). Texas is better than this. What are we waiting for?
