Okura Walkway, Haigh Access Road, East Coast Bays, Auckland has been closed since May 2018 without any reasonable justification.  At a time when the majority of tracks in the Auckland region have been closed due to kauri dieback, the ongoing closure of Okura is depriving thousands of Aucklanders of the most attractive track on the North Shore and the ability to enjoy all of the substantial improvements made to the walkway before it was closed.  Those administering the track need to give it priority and stop the long extravagant delays in returning this important facility back to public use.
