Allow legalized cannabis and hemp products businesses to open in Renfrew Ontario Canada.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!

The Ontario government has made it so that municipalities have the final say in whether marijuana and hemp stores can open in their towns and cities.

Not only should Renfrew be trying to attract cannabis growers and distributers, but also trying to attract companies that utilize the byproducts of growing cannabis. For example: paper, textiles, building materials. This is a big opportunity to attract jobs to the area that cannot be outsourced.

Not allowing these businesses to open would force people to drive to where they can obtain products, putting them at higher risk of vehicle collisions. It could increase black markets sales therefore increasing crime, and sub par cannabis possibly being laced with harmful chemicals increasing strain on healthcare.

If council is truly serious about what they say about  "growing" Renfrew, let's hold them accountable to their promises.
