We, the undersigned parents, students, families, and community members of Fort Sam Houston ISD, are writing to express our deep concern regarding the decision not to renew the contract of Mr. Jacob Okerman.

Mr. Okerman has dedicated over 13 years to this district, consistently demonstrating a commitment to student success, mentorship, and community involvement. His impact reaches far beyond the classroom, he has played a meaningful role in shaping the academic growth, confidence, and well-being of countless students.
The loss of a teacher of this caliber is not just a staffing change, it is a loss to our children, our schools, and our community.

Many families have directly experienced the positive difference Mr. Okerman has made, and we believe his continued presence is vital to maintaining the quality of education our students deserve.
