On Monday, January 31, 2022, ABC's "The View" co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, drew a false narrative about the Holocaust, a dangerous rhetoric that further fuels antisemitism. Whoopi Goldberg declared the Holocaust was "not about race", despite the systematic killing of an estimated six million Jews.

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt tweeted: “No @WhoopiGoldberg, the #Holocaust was about the Nazi’s systematic annihilation of the Jewish people – who they deemed to be an inferior race. They dehumanized them and used this racist propaganda to justify slaughtering 6 million Jews. Holocaust distortion is dangerous. #ENOUGH.”

Whoopi joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on 01/31/21. Instead of doubling down, Whoopi should vow to educate herself on the Holocaust and the rippling effects 80 years later. 

Networks are quick to "cancel" hosts for making racist comments, so why is Whoopi not held to these same standards?
