Turkey coronavirus cases are on par with the UK today on 12th August. The vaccination rate in Turkey has been going well with over 72 million doses and nearly 40% population fully vaccinated. Turkey was put on the red list to stop the delta variant however this is the main variant now in the uk. So this stealth sanctions need to stop immediately to help the Turkish Tourist authority and give this industry a boost. The Turkish economy relies on tourism and I think as Turkey was the first country in the world to introduce the tourist safe certification in where government officials go to tourist destinations and oversee their safety procedures. Once the government official see the premises as being covid safe the so called premises will be handed a certificate. This is in my opinion much safer then other places in the world. Removal of red list status needs to happen now!! Mr Grant Shapps can you answer why Turkey is on the red list!!
