Minecraft has been free and unpoliced for years and even with Microsoft's purchasing of Mojang nothing bad really came of it. However on July 21, 2022 that changed, Microsoft added a feature to Minecraft Java Edition where if someone said something deemed hateful or derogatory by the player it could be reported. Along with this new feature many false reports came in getting many accounts banned for no reason. Minecraft is meant to be something where you have freedom and do whatever you feel, not where you are silenced on certain things.
