Ever since Covid hit, societies around the world have had to deal with some very trying times. Eugene alone has had a 50% increase in homelessness. New camps seem to pop up all over town on a monthly basis. I am here to talk about one of those camps and why it needs to be removed or relocated ASAP.

A panel of "geniuses" with  the city of Eugene in Lane County Oregon has  decided it was a fantastic idea to establish a tent community right across the street from Ceaser Chavez Elementary School. As a result, students have had to witness the use of drugs & alcohol, domestic violence, nudity and people defecating in public for everyone to see. Even teachers have reported being harassed. The janitor of the school has to search the school grounds every morning to make sure there is no dangerous contraband on the play ground. These are little children having to witness this at a place that is supposed to be safe.

This is an absolute disgrace. The city should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for placing it there. They have shown that they have absolutely no regard for the safety and well being of these children. Please take the time to sign this petition and have the camp removed.
