I’m a lesbian mom living in Coto De Caza. We have recently learned about an anti-gay family here displaying a blatant hate flag — there are several neighbors that have been supportive and we are working with our HOA to have the flag removed but so far the homeowners are adamant about “driving the gays away”— they refuse to remove it and do not care about fines and are prepared to fight. We have lived in Coto for 6 years and this is the first time ever we have seen anything like this.  I cannot be complicit in allowing this symbol of hate to continue in my neighborhood where I see it every day, my children see it, we can't walk on that street without seeing it, we can't use the park on that street even though we pay the same HOA fees as everyone else in this community -- it's absolutely unacceptable!

We are starting this petition to garner support for equality to let our HOA, management company and their respective attorneys know that we will not tolerate this in our community.  Coto De Caza is a place of love, acceptance and inclusion. Please sign our petition and SHARE!
