Remove the Frequency Rule from USF's Medical Amnesty Policy

Remove the Frequency Rule from USF's Medical Amnesty Policy
Why this petition matters

The Medical Amnesty Policy at the University of South Florida allows for students to seek medical assistance for themselves or others during a drug or alcohol related emergency. This policy encourages the safety of students by allowing students to report emergencies without the fear of disciplinary actions from the university. However, students who receive medical attention are only protected by the policy once, and students who seek help for others more than once are subject to the discretion of USF.
This frequency rule can discourage students from using the Medical Amnesty Policy, which can stop students from getting the life-saving medical attention they need during an overdose or alcohol related emergency.
The USF chapter of Students for Sensible Drug Policy is aiming to get this harmful frequency limitation removed from the Medical Amnesty Policy. Once removed, students will be protected and encouraged to seek medical assistance during life-threatening situations as many times as necessary.
