Officials at Lancaster city council have taken it upon themselves to ban long standing and popular comedian Roy Chubby Brown from performing at the platform venue in august.

59 people signed a petition to have him banned so the council bowed to their demands

despite hundreds of people wanting to attend the ticketed event the council have decided to tell the public what they can and cannot watch.

as a ticketed event advertised as a comedy show which states “if easily offended stay away” those 59 people had the choice not to attend.

Persons responsible for banning our freedom to attend the show need to be removed from their positions within the council with immediate effect.

if 59 people can get a comedian banned from performing based on the fact they have raised a complaint surely if we get 59 signatures on this petition then it’s enough to have the council officials removed.

after all we live in a democracy don’t we?
