Freedom of Independence is very important in children especially younger children. It promotes confidence and self-esteem as well as motivation and perseverance in school. It fosters self-reliance, allowing your child to feel they have control over their life. With society basically residing our children allowing them to have individualistic choice in clothing is something I feel should not be stripped from them. Having one uniform look does not stop bullying or prove that all children are being treated equally. We want our children to be identified as unique and one of a kind. This could stunt creativity and uniqueness in children. Parents are also forced to purchase clothing outside of school uniforms, for some it’s either or because of there living situations. I do agree to some type of clothing guidelines but I do not agree to school uniforms.
