As a Restaurant owner on Behalf of all Restaurant/Takeaway owners and on behalf of all the UK people who eat out. We need the government to Remove the Restaurant/Takeaway VAT. It is simply unfair and punishing to all of us. The food should not be charged VAT regardless of hot or cold. By removing the VAT we could save many Restaurants and Takeaways in the UK, with the rising supplier prices and soaring energy costs it is estimated by UKHospitality (UKH) chief executive that more than 10,000 pubs and restaurants could close as the sector faces big a crisis!
I really hope that this petition will get the attention it deserves and should help us all, and also save many jobs!
