This movie portrays that a service animal can be a monkey when per the federal ada laws that is not true. Just because they may have been able to a long time ago they are not allowed to be now. This movie makes it seem as though it is allowed and with people's thinking they will believe this as this movie states "based on a true story". There's already so many problems we in the service dog handler group have to deal with having our dogs out in the public, such as people faking their dogs as service dogs just so they can take fido everywhere with them which causes us problems as these untrained dogs have not just barked or lunged at our dogs, they have also attacked our dogs which when that happens it costs us even more damages in our already damaged lives. We have to deal with places arguing with us about the laws and telling us that our dogs are not allowed where the public is allowed, or we get put in the back of a restaurant because of us having our dogs or we just end up getting poor service at a restaurant due to us having our dogs. Our service dogs are for our medical issues and we have a reason to have them, it's not because we want them. We need them like a person on oxygen needs to be able to breathe or a person needs their wheelchair to get around. This movie is only going to make our lives even more difficult when it comes out and people then see it and think "hey, isn't that monkey so cute, I need a service animal I think I'll see about getting a monkey". Same thing happened after the 101 Dalmatian movie came out, all of a sudden people wanted Dalmatians and yet didn't know what they were getting into when getting one. Please don't let this movie hit the big screen, it doesn't do any justice to those of us that are disabled and have service dogs or mini horses and need them.
